1. Acceptance of Quotation
Acceptance of this quotation constitutes acceptance of the Terms and Conditions contained herein and forms a binding contract between the client and Quantum Decorating Services Ltd.

Payment Terms
2. Deposit
A 20% deposit is required once a start date has been agreed in order to secure the booking within our schedule.
The deposit must be paid within 72 hours of confirming the booking, otherwise the reserved dates may be released to other clients.
The deposit will be deducted from the final invoice.

3. Stage Payments
For projects expected to exceed five working days, stage payments will be required.
A typical structure may include:
• 20% deposit to secure the booking
• Interim stage payment(s) during the project
• Final balance payable upon completion
Stage payment arrangements will be confirmed prior to commencement of works.
Failure to make agreed stage payments may result in suspension of works until payment is received.

4. Final Payment
Full payment of the final invoice is due within 3 calendar days of the invoice date.
Commercial clients who require alternative payment terms must agree these prior to acceptance of the quotation.

5. Late Payments
Late payments may be charged in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, which allows:
• Interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate
• Reasonable debt recovery costs.

Programme & Scheduling
6. Scheduling of Works
Start dates are agreed based on our current workload and project schedule.
Quantum Decorating Services Ltd reserves the right to adjust scheduling where necessary due to factors beyond our control, including weather conditions, access issues, or delays caused by other trades.

7. Cancellation or Postponement
If a confirmed project is cancelled or postponed within 7 days of the agreed start date, Quantum Decorating Services Ltd reserves the right to retain the deposit to cover scheduling and preparation costs.
Where works cannot commence due to the site not being ready, the project may need to be rescheduled subject to availability, and additional costs may apply.

8. Programme Disruption
All quotations are based on works proceeding in a logical and continuous sequence.
If the programme is altered and Quantum Decorating Services Ltd is required to:
• leave and return to site multiple times
• decorate rooms in isolation
• work around ongoing trades
• stop and restart works repeatedly
Additional labour and remobilisation costs may apply.

Site Conditions
9. Site Readiness
All areas must be fully ready for decoration before works commence. This includes:
• plaster fully dry and cured
• joinery works completed
• electrical and plumbing works completed
• floors clear and free from dust or debris
• no active wet trades operating in the same area
Quantum Decorating Services Ltd reserves the right to delay or suspend works where the site is not decorating-ready.

Surface Preparation & Substrate Quality
10. Surface Condition
The quality of the finished decorated surface is dependent on the condition of the substrate provided.
Quantum Decorating Services Ltd will carry out reasonable preparation and making good, including filling and sanding minor imperfections. However, we are not responsible for correcting underlying defects in plastering, joinery, or building works.
Examples include but are not limited to:
• uneven plaster
• visible trowel marks
• bowed or misaligned woodwork
• poor joinery installation
• structural movement or gaps
Where a client requires a perfect finish, it is the responsibility of the contractor or client to ensure that plastering and joinery are completed to an appropriate standard prior to decoration.

Protection of Completed Works
11. Responsibility After Completion
Once an area has been completed by Quantum Decorating Services Ltd, responsibility for protecting finished surfaces passes to the client or main contractor.
We will not be responsible for damage caused by:
• other trades
• impact or scratches
• drilling or fixings
• dust contamination from building works
• installation of fixtures or fittings after decoration
Any rectification works required will be treated as additional chargeable works.

Snagging Procedure
12. Snagging Period
A joint inspection should take place on completion of works where possible.
Snagging items must be reported within 3 calendar days of completion.
Quantum Decorating Services Ltd will return within 7 days to address agreed decorating defects.
After this period, any further works may be treated as additional chargeable works.

13. Inspection Standards
Decorated surfaces should be inspected under normal lighting conditions and from a reasonable viewing distance.
Minor imperfections visible only under:
• close inspection
• strong artificial or raking light
• unusually close viewing distances
are considered acceptable within normal decorating standards.

Variations
14. Additional Works
Any works outside the original scope must be:
• agreed in writing
• priced separately
• authorised before commencement
Changes to colour, finish, or specification after works have started may incur additional charges.

Health & Safety
15. Hazards
The client must notify Quantum Decorating Services Ltd of any known hazards prior to works commencing, including:
• asbestos
• unsafe electrics
• structural issues
Quantum Decorating Services Ltd reserves the right to suspend works where conditions are unsafe.

Materials
16. Materials & Colours
Where colours or materials are to be supplied by the client, they must be confirmed prior to the commencement of works.
Delays caused by late material selection may affect project scheduling.

17. Liability
Quantum Decorating Services Ltd is responsible for the quality of its workmanship at the time of completion.
We are not responsible for defects caused by:
• underlying structural issues
• environmental conditions
• defective substrates
• alterations made after completion.
